Revo was the third of JPI's trilogy of new communities, located on the north side of the Anaheim Angels' Stadium, was considered to be the most prestigious of the three. Because of its proximity to the stadium it would have been easy to mmic the baseball themes adopted by many of the other apartment communities in the area. Instead, we opted to keep the obvious to the bare minimum. A double height feature wall in the main lobby appears to be a three dimensional art-piece that ties in with the angular shapes seen throughout the interior architecture but upon closer inspection one might recognize that it is in fact made up of "home plates". A.P.T. was given full licence to have fun on this project and the results are someone unique within the industry. Not only did we work closely with Architect's Orange to move units (to create a 2-story glass "box" between the courtyards that houses the substantial gym) and move walls but they let us move parts of the facade and create connections between the two massive courtyards. We also worked extremely closely with Urban Arena to make strong connections between the interior and exterior spaces so that shapes, colors, materials and even furnishings tie the brand together. With one roof deck facing Disney and the other the stadium, the residents can enjoy almost nightly firework displays.
