EDISON
WASHINGTON, DC | NEW CONSTRUCTION | 187 UNITS
At the inception of this project, Union Market was an area (north east of the Capitol building) undergoing the early stages of revitalization. The architectural team (SK+I) did a fantastic job prior to our involvement. In the lobby, we personally installed the extremely heavy ropes and lights that fall from the 17' ceilings. Much of the furniture was custom made to fit the vibe of the architecture, a new construction building built to resemble a historic warehouse. With the project named "The Edison" they were hoping to appeal to creative minds, so we created design themes devoted to enterprise and ingenuity- hence the lightbulb motif. Even the sign at the entrance reads "Inventors wanted".
A.P.T. was thrilled to be honored with the PMA Marketing and Advertising Excellence Award for best model home in a leased up community.
